Question: How do you find your voice, find your style, the inner Shakespeare so to speak?
There is a common misconception that we can simply write as we speak, we want to find the sweet spot between the way that we speak and the way that we read…

Jodi Krangle has been a voice actor since 2007 and has worked with clients from major brands all over the world in industries like health care, charities & non-profits, and the hospitality/travel market.

But it was quite a journey to get there – from selling computers in a time when not many women were doing that, to teaching herself about the Internet and the world it opened up. In 1995, she created an award-winning songwriting resource website called The Muse’s Muse and began a business of her own doing SEO and Internet marketing.

When she switched to voice overs, she was well-prepared for the new world of online promotions and getting her own work. She’s also a singer. In 2015, she put out her own album of jazz, blues and traditional tunes (jodikranglemusic.com).

Over the years, and doing what she does, she’s learned a lot about sound and how it influences people. She’s launched a new podcast called Audio Branding: The Hidden Gem of Marketing.

Bullet Points Of The Show:

– How can Audio Branding help your marketing on your expert website (courses, youtube channel, podcast, or the podcasts you have as a marketing strategy?

3:12 It is an extension of who you are, what your brand looks like, the colors you use, the logo you have, and the fonts, and the emotions that they are supposed to evoke in people, then follow that through with how you sound. It has to do with being more of who you are and getting people to that emotional shorthand of who you are really quickly.  That also has to do with consistency, so switching it up all the time can be very confusing for people. It is kind of like switching up your logo all the time, you don’t do that…  (and much more in the interview that you can enjoy).

– What makes sound such an effective marketing/advertising tool?

11:27 It’s a form of time travel, a really powerful way to bring us places and to make us think of places that we remember to have experienced. You want that nice little mix where it’s still you but it appeals to the audience that is your avatar. Your audience wants to feel like you are like them. I do interview a lot of people who have done audio branding for other clients (www.audiobrandingpodcast.com), so I know a few companies you could contact that are serious about that… (more in the interview)

– How can we use sound to improve our life, can sound actually heal?

15:37 It actually can, it is amazing how our capacity for that is, I actually just published an episode with a shaman called Kaye Doran… the interview covers authenticity in your business, you can be much more authentic when reaching people with sound than with any other medium … you can make a deeper connection with your customers, so think about your on-hold music, have it match your image, …

AND MUCH MORE…
